ABT Sportsline has introduced a new tuning program for Volkswagen Beetles equipped with the 2.0-liter TDI engine. Starting under the hood, the engine has been retuned to produce 170
PS (125 kW / 168 hp) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of
30 PS (22 kW / 30 hp) and 50 Nm (37 lb-ft). Thanks to the extra oomph,
the car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.8 seconds which 0.6 seconds
faster than the standard model. Besides the engine modifications, the car can be equipped with an
aerodynamic body kit, a sport-tuned suspension, high-performance brakes
and 18- to 20-inch alloy wheels.
