JE Design is introducing a wide body kit for the second-generation Audi Q7 that can also be equipped with other upgrades.
The first Audi Q7 turned out to be very popular among tuners, so its
successor will likely be the source of inspiration for even more
aftermarket specialists. JE DESIGN is among the many to work on
Ingolstadt’s big SUV by creating a wide body kit compatible only with
the S Line and SQ7 models.
The list of custom goodies includes a front apron, fender extensions,
and a set of beefy side skirts. The back of the vehicle now hosts a
rear skirt insert, spoiler lip, and a roof-mounted spoiler. If you want
the complete body kit, JE DESIGN is asking €7,557 while the custom
22-inch wheels with 295/30 R22 tires cost €4,390 and come bundled with
spacers.
No tuning program would be complete without some power upgrades and
there’s one for the turbodiesel 3.0-liter. In its standard
configuration, the engine puts out a respectable 272 horsepower (200
kilowatts) and 442 pound-feet (600 newton meters) of torque, but JE
DESIGN can squeeze an extra 54 hp (40 kW) and 63 lb-ft (85 Nm) for a
grand total of 326 hp (240 kW) and 506 lb-ft (685 Nm.) The power hike
will set you back €1,999 and will come with a two-year warranty on the
engine, driveline, and gearbox.
Also in the works is an upgrade program for the Audi SQ7 with
its newly developed 4.0 TDI V8 engine that pushes out 435 hp (320 kW).
JE DESIGN says it will soon be able to bump the unit to no less than 522
hp (384 kW). There’s no word about the torque figure, but that one too
should go up from the series 664 lb-ft (900 Nm).
This will certainly improve performance, so the tuned SQ7 will be
faster in the 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) sprint than the stock model which
needs 4.8 seconds to complete the task before hitting a limited 155 mph
(250 kph.)
