ABT Sportsline has launched an upgrade program for the 2014 Audi R8 V10. Output of the 5.2-liter FSI V10 engine has been increased from the
standard 525 HP (386 kW) to 600 HP (441 kW), while torque has gone up
from 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) to 550 Nm (405 lb-ft). As a result of the power
hike, 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) takes 3.5 seconds, on its way to a top speed
of 199 mph (320 km/h).
Aside from the additional horsepower, ABT has installed new
suspension springs and coilovers, along with several exterior elements
made from carbon fiber to lower the R8's weight. Changes include new
front skirt and grille, side skirts, rear wing and rear skirt. The
custom exhaust system is made from stainless steel, while standard
wheels were replaced by 19-inch rims wrapped around in 235/35 R19 front
and 305/30 R19 rear tires.
