Hartmann has released a tuning kit for the fifth generation of the Volkswagen Transporter (T5). They are collaborating with VANSPORTS to offer a power boost for the
2.0-liter TDI engine which gets its output increased from 140 bhp (104
kW) and 340 Nm (251 lb-ft) to 166 bhp (124 kW) and 395 Nm (291 lb-ft). A
similar kit is available for the 2.0-liter BiTDI mill which lifts
output from the series 179 bhp (133 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) to 212
bhp (158 kW) and 460 Nm (339 lb-ft).
Aside from the additional oomph, the T5 has gained a stainless steel
sports exhaust system with 2x80mm tailpipes on the right side, along
with sport springs which have lowered the vehicle by 35mm. Other changes
include a custom front spoiler, rocker panels, rear skirt, brushed
aluminum door sill plates, bespoke floor mats and aluminum pedals. As a
final touch, Hartmann installed 20-inch VEST-3 alloy wheels shod in
275/35 R20 tires.
