German aftermarket specialist VÄTH has developed an upgrade kit for the Mercedes-Benz CLA 250. The package starts out with an ECU remap worth 940 EUR which lifts
output from the series 208 HP (153 kW) and 349 Nm (258 lb-ft) to 245 HP
(180 kW) and 390 Nm (287 lb-ft) of torque. If this isn't enough, opt for
the V25 kit (4,950 EUR) that adds a sports exhaust system (including
downpipe) and a bespoke air filter system which together lift power to
265 HP (195 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft).
The CLA 250 by VÄTH
with the more powerful boost needs 5.9 seconds to get from 0 to 62 mph
(100 km/h) and keeps on going until the electronic speed limiter kicks
in at 155 mph (250 km/h).
Other goodies available include a suspension lowering kit (20 to
65mm), 20-inch three-piece wheels, carbon fiber front spoiler lip and a
leather-wrapped sports steering wheel for the cabin. Also on the inside
the client can choose black velvet floor mats, a 300 km/h speedometer
and various carbon or timber applications.
