Alpha-N Performance has released an upgrade package for the sixth-gen Volkswagen Golf R. The tuner teamed up with Öhlins for a custom Road & Track chassis
which was matched with lightweight OZ Racing Ultraleggera HLT alloys
featuring a race gold finish and wrapped around in 235/30 R20 tires.
Other changes included in the kit are a stainless steel exhaust system,
sports air filter system and an EVOX chip tuning box.
As a result of these changes, the Volkswagen Golf VI R's 2.0-liter
turbocharged engine outputs 330 HP (243 kW), representing a 60 HP (44
kW) hike compared to the standard model. Power is sent to all four
wheels through a DSG transmission which should enable the car to be
quicker in the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run than the stock model which
accomplishes this task in 5.5 seconds.
