B&B Automobiltechnik has launched a new upgrade program for the Audi R8 V10 Spyder. While last time they focused on the coupe, the latest aftermarket
package takes care of the Spyder version. They installed a carbon air
filter, custom racing exhaust system and remapped the electronic
injection code fields to increase output to 628 HP (462 kW) and 600 Nm
(442 lb-ft) compared to the standard 525 HP (386 kW) and 530 Nm (391
lb·ft) of torque.
B&B is also offering a sport suspension kit lowering the R8 by
20mm/25mm (front/rear) while for more money clients can opt for an
adjustable version. They can also tweak the R-Tronic gear shift which
will lower shift times significantly, making the gearbox even faster
than that found in the R8 GT. Thanks to all modifications, the R8 V10 Spyder by B&B can hit 62
mph (100 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, making it 0.5 seconds quicker than stock
version. The top speed has been increased from 316 km/h (196 mph) to 328
km/h (204 mph). Completing this tuning package are ceramic brakes and new sets of 19- and 20-inch alloys.
