Carlsson has introduced their new tuning program for the Mercedes CLA-Class at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Starting with exterior, the model can be equipped with a front
spoiler, aerodynamic side skirts and a new rear bumper. The company
also offers an electro-polished stainless steel grille insert and a four-tailpipe
sports exhaust system. Customers can also order sport springs (which
reduce the ride height by 35mm), an adjustable coil-over suspension and a
variety of wheels ranging in sizes from 18- to 20-inches.
Interior upgrades include alloy pedals, illuminated sill plates and
special floor mats. If that isn't extensive enough, the company can
create a bespoke cabin with premium leather and Alcantara upholstery.
Under the hood, the C-Tronic CB Plug & Drive module enables the
CLA200 to produce 187 HP (138 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque - an
increase of 31 HP (22 kW) and 50 Nm (36 lb-ft) . For the CLA250, those
numbers are boosted to 253 HP (186 kW) and 420 Nm (309 lb-ft) of torque -
an increase of 42 HP (30 kW) and 70 Nm (51 lb-ft).
