Carlsson has introduced their new tuning program for the 2014 Mercedes S-Class. Starting with the exterior, the model can be equipped with a new
front bumper that has larger air intakes and an "RS" front lip spoiler.
Moving further back, we can see revised side skirts, a new rear valance
and a distinctive four-tailpipe sports exhaust system. Customers can
also order a variety of wheels in sizes ranging from 19- to 21-inches.
The cabin can be outfitted with the usual wood and leather
refinements as well as a rear seat entertainment system, a Wi-Fi hotspot
and an "audiophile grade" REVOX sound system. Other options include
sheepskin floor mats, a refrigerator and a humidor.
Under the hood, the 4.7-liter V8 engine can be tuned to produce 610
HP (448 kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 154 HP
(113 kW) and 200 Nm (147 lb-ft). Likewise, the twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8
in the S63 AMG
can be massaged to develop 780 HP (573 kW) and 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) of
torque - an increase of 195 HP (143 kW) and 150 Nm (110 lb-ft).
