Tuning firm promises an assortment of performance tweaks.
Hennessey Performance has quietly announced plans to offer a new tuning program for the 2017 Acura NSX.
The company is keeping details under wraps but hinted it will offer a
wide range of performance options including an upgraded twin-turbo
system. Customers will also be able to purchase a stainless steel
sports exhaust system, upgraded interior coolers, and lightweight alloy
wheels.
There's no word on when the accessories will become available but the
standard NSX has a 3.5-liter biturbo V6 engine and three electric
motors which enable the model to produce a combined maximum output of
573 horsepower and 476 pound-feet of torque. The engine is connected to
a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission and a Sport Hybrid SH-AWD system
which enables the supercar to accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in
approximately three seconds before hitting a top speed of 191 mph.
Despite this impressive performance, the model is relatively
eco-friendly as it returns 20 miles per gallon city / 22 mpg highway /
21 mpg combined.
The 2017 Acura NSX starts at $156,000 and can be equipped with an
assortment of pricey accessories including a carbon fiber body kit that
adds a carbon fiber front spoiler, carbon fiber side skirts, and a
carbon fiber rear diffuser.
