JE Design has introduced their new tuning program for the SEAT Leon FR. On the styling front, the model can be equipped with "carbon look"
components including a front spoiler, side skirts and a rear bumper
insert. The company also offers a tailgate-mounted spoiler, a stainless
steel sports exhaust system and lowering springs that reduce the ride
height by 30mm. There's also a KW coilover suspension and a variety of
18- and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the 1.8-liter TSI engine has been tuned to produce
215 HP (158 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 35 HP
(25 kW) and 50 Nm (36 lb-ft). This enables the hatchback to accelerate
from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 235 km/h (146
mph). For comparison, the standard model runs from 0-100 km/h in 7.5
seconds and has a maximum speed of 226 km/h (140 mph).
