Last year DMC launched an upgrade program for the Maserati GranTurismo
and now they have developed a similar package for the convertible.
Design-wise, we notice the new look of the front bumper and a new
spoiler lip that increases downforce. The hood has extra air inlets and
outlets, while the wide side skirts feature zig-zag end-panels. At the back, the diffuser and trunk spoiler have
been reworked. All of the added parts are made from carbon fiber. The
Maserati GranTurismo Convertible by DMC has also been fitted with a
sport suspension that lowers it by about 30mm and it rides on 255/30 R20
tires (front) and 305/30 R21 (back). Under that orange hood of the GranTurismo Sovrano
is the same V8 4.7-liter engine that has received a supercharger and is
now capable of pumping out an additional 150 hp (112 kW) and 60 lb-ft
(82 Nm), for a grand total of 590 hp (440 kW) at 7,300 rpm and a peak
torque of 348 lb-ft (472 Nm) at 5,400 rpm.
